The Forest Preserve District maintains nearly 26,000 acres, including 60 forest preserves, 175 miles of trails, 47 miles of rivers and streams, 31 lakes, and seven education centers. Our work to restore wild lands not only ensures great places for native plants and animals to thrive but also improves residents' quality of life in DuPage County.
We do all we do with support from Forest Preserve District tax dollars and people like you who care about natural areas, diverse wildlife populations, children's opportunities to discover the natural world, and year-round recreational offerings.
Join thousands of outdoor enthusiasts, wildlife lovers and engaged community members to advance these things in your forest preserves.
